Pusa-120 is a high-yielding tomato variety developed by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. It is characterized by medium-sized, smooth, attractive fruits with a yellow stem end and uniform ripening. The plants are determinate, semi-spreading, and late-maturing, with dark green foliage. Fruits are ready for harvesting 75-80 days after transplanting, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. The average yield is approximately 35 tons per hectare. In Maharashtra, Pusa-120 tomatoes are harvested at medium sizes and sorted by size and color to meet specific market requirements. They are packaged in corrugated boxes, with sizes available in 6.5 kg and 7.00 kg, as per requirements.
